How We Rate: Our Method for Checking Casino Information
This page explains how the pages on this site are put together: where facts come from, what we check, and what we do when sources disagree. It applies to every page, including those about Rollino.
Where the information comes from
We work from primary sources published by the operator and by regulators. We do not rely on rumour, forum posts or unsourced claims for facts such as licences, bonus values or limits.
- The operator's own website and help pages
- Bonus terms and conditions for each offer
- The general terms and conditions
- Payment and withdrawal pages
- The public licence register of the regulator
Player opinions are treated separately. They help show how people describe their experience, but they are not used as proof of a fact. Our reviews page keeps that distinction clear.
What we check and why it matters in GB
Each area below is chosen because it affects a player's money, time or safety. The Rollino fact card is used here only as an example of the type of detail we record, not as a review.
Licence and ownership
We look at which regulators are named and whether the licence can be confirmed on a register. For players in GB, the UK Gambling Commission matters most, because it sets the rules for operators serving this market. Rollino lists the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.
Bonus value and wagering
A headline figure says little without its terms. We note the percentage, the maximum amount, any free spins, and the wagering and other conditions. For example, Rollino's welcome offer is spread over three deposits, starting with 100% up to £500 plus 100 free spins. Details sit on the bonus page.
Payments, limits and payout times
We record deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum and maximum amounts, supported currencies and stated processing times. Rollino lists GBP and EUR, for instance. See how this is presented on the withdrawal page.
Games, providers and support
We note the game types and named software providers, and which providers supply live tables. We also check how players can contact support and what hours or channels are stated.
Responsible gambling tools
We check whether tools such as deposit limits and self-exclusion exist, and whether links to support organisations are provided. We also note any loyalty scheme, since points-based rewards can encourage more play.
When sources disagree
Operator pages sometimes contradict each other, for example when a bonus page and the full terms show different numbers. In that case we treat the more detailed and more recent document, usually the terms and conditions, as the main source.
If a conflict cannot be settled, we say so on the page instead of choosing a number. We may also leave a detail out. Where a regulator's register and the operator differ, the register takes priority.
How often pages are re-checked
Casino terms change without notice. We re-check pages against the original sources on a regular basis and whenever we notice a change or receive a correction. Each page should be read as accurate to the date it was last checked, and the operator's own terms always take precedence.
If you spot something out of date, tell us. We will verify it against the source before changing anything.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment to change, add or remove facts.
- We do not promise wins or suggest that any bonus or strategy guarantees a result.
- We do not present marketing claims as verified facts.
- We do not claim to have tested the casino with real money unless a page says so.
Gambling carries risk and should be treated as paid entertainment, not income. Only stake what you can afford to lose, and use the limits and self-exclusion tools if play stops feeling under control. For a safety-focused summary, read the licence and safety check.
